Cloning a WordPress installation is easier than ever thanks to Softaculous. From your CPanel you will be able to create a copy of your website in a few seconds.
1. Open CPanel and if you have not created it yet add a subdomain for this new installation, this will be the clone of your site where you can do the experiments before doing it in the main one.
2. Once the subdomain is created you go to Softaculous and go to the WordPress installations that you have, either only one or several, once there, next to the domain of the web you want to create, an icon like this will appear click on it and a window will open.
3. Inside this new window will appear the data of the subdomain where you are going to make the copy and also the data of the web that you are going to clone, check everything to verify that everything is correct.
4. Finally click on start cloning, it will take a few seconds depending on the size of your page. And done with all this, let’s get to work with your clone!
